Our goal is teaching the biomechanics of running and empowering students to become active in their shoe selection understanding key points during our evaluation such as:

  • What is their current shoe?

  • Why is the arch length important?

  • What is the difference in stability versus neutral shoes?

  • What does over or under pronation mean?

  • Why is the drop of a shoe important?

  • What are the different types of cushioning…plush, responsive?

  • Any aches or pains? Previous injuries?

Ok, nothing in life is “perfect,” but we think our PEAK FIT PROCESS is a photo-finish! The BRANNOCK DEVICE is our best friend and precision and alignment is our mantra. We spend a lot of time training and understanding what goes into an in depth fitting such as…

  1. Measurements: We measure feet both un-weighted (seated) and weighted (standing) measurements as well as different point-to-point measurements. 

  2. Gait Analysis: We observe as individuals run or walk a short distance on the treadmill. This helps us understand how your movement and biomechanics of your gait looking specifically at: Body Posture, Body Symmetry, Phases of the gait cycle from heel strike to toe-off.

  3. ARCH Length Matters: We measure the distance from heel to the metatarsal head of the big toe where the foot flexes. Having that part of your foot line up with the part of the shoe that flexes during movement is vital in a proper shoe fitting 

  4. YOU Focused Always: Any injuries or foot problems? Training, fitness or overall wellness goals?
